R=(15+20)ohm

R=35ohm

V=IR

I=V/R

I=7/35

I=1/5

I=0.2Ampere

It is given that two resistance of 20 ohm and 15 ohm are connected in series

therefore, total resistance in the circuit = R1 +R2

=20+15=35 ohm

voltage ,V = 7V

we have to find, the total current (I) in the circuit

I= V/R = 7/35

I= 0.2 AMPERE

Now p.d. across 20 ohm is given by

V= I*R

V= 0.2 * 20 = 4 VOLT
