We are asked to find the CSA and

TSA of Cylinder

CSA : Curved surface area

TSA : Total surface area

Given : Radius = 1.4 cm

: Height = 2.1 cm

CSA of Cylinder = 2πrh

Let's substitute the given value

Therefore:-

CSA \:  of  \: Cylinder = 2πrh \\  \\  =  > 2 \times  \frac{22}{7} \times 1.4 \times 2.1 \\  \\  =  > 2 \times 22 \times 0.2 \times 2.1 \\  \\  =  > 44 \times 0.42 \\ \\   =  > 18.48 \:  {cm}^{2}

 \fbox \purple { Hence the CSA of Cylinder is 18.48 cm²}

Now Let's find the TSA of Cylinder

TSA of Cylinder = 2πr ( r + h)

Let's substitute the given value:-

Therefore:-

TSA  \: of  \: Cylinder \:  = 2πr ( r + h) \\  \\  =  > 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 1.4(1.4 + 2.1) \\  \\ =  >  2 \times 22 \times 0.2(3.5) \\  \\ =  >  44 \times 0.7 \\  \\ =  >  30.8 \:  {cm}^{2}  \:

  \fbox \red {Hence the TSA of the cylinder is 30.8 cm }
