Find the curved surface area and total surface area of cylinder the diameter of its base is 10 cm and height is 25 cm​

Given:

  • Diameter of its base = 10 cm

  • Height = 25 cm

To find out :

Find the Curved surface area and total surface area of cylinder?

Formula used:

  • Curved surface area of cylinder = 2πrh

  • Total surface area of cylinder = 2πr( h + r )

Solution:

Curved surface area of cylinder = 2πrh

= 2 × 22/7 × 5 × 25

= 5500/7

= 785.71 cm

Total surface area of cylinder = 2πr ( h + r )

= 22/7 × 5 ( 25 + 5 )

= 22/7 × 5 × 30

= 3300/7

= 471.42 cm
