➺ Height of the circular cylinder = 15 cm

➺ Radius of the base = 7 cm

➺ The curved surface area.

➺ The total surface area.

We know that,

  • h = Height
  • r = Radius
  • d = Diameter

Given that,

Height (h) = 15 cm

Radius (r) = 7 cm

\sf \red{Curved \: surface \: area\:  of\: cylinder = 2 \pi rh}

Substituting their values,

\implies \sf 2 \times \dfrac{22}{7} \times 7 \times 15

\implies \sf 2 \times 22 \times 15

\implies \sf 660 \: cm^{2}

Therefore, the curved surface area of the cylinder is 660 cm²

Now, finding the surface area of the cylinder

\sf \red{Total\:  surface \: area \: of \: cylinder =2 \pi r(r+h) }

Substituting their values,

\implies \sf 2 \times \dfrac{22}{7} \times (7+15)

\implies \sf 44 \times 22

\implies \sf 968 \: cm^{2}

Therefore, the total surface area of the cylinder is 968 cm²
