Given :

Diameter of hemisphere is 14 cm

To find :

Curved surface area of a hemisphere

Formula :

{\purple{\boxed{\large{\bold{Curved\:Surface\:Area\:of\:a\:Hemisphere=2\pi\:r{}^{2}}}}}}

⇒ the Hemisphere is the half part of a sphere, therefore, the curved surface area is also half that of the sphere.

Solution :

radius =\frac{diameter}{2}=7cm

Area of a hemisphere

 = 2\pi \: r {}^{2}

 = 2 \times \pi \times (7) {}^{2}

 = 2 \times  \frac{22}{7} \times 7 \times 7

 = 2 \times 22 \times 7

 = 308 \: cm {}^{2}

⇒The curved surface area of hemisphere is 308 cm².

Answer:

  • Area of hemisphere = 308 cm².

Given :

  • Diameter of hemisphere = 14 cm

To find :

  • Area of hemisphere =?

Step-by-step explanation:

Diameter of hemisphere = 14 cm [Given]

Radius = Diameter /200

Substituting the values, we get,

= 14/2

= 7 cm

Hence, Radius of hemisphere = 7 cm.

As we know that,

Area of hemisphere = 2 π r²

Substituting the values in the above formula, we get,

= 2 × 22/7 × (7)²

= 2 × 22/7 × 7 × 7

= 2 × 22 × 7

= 44 × 7

= 308.

Thus, The Area of the Hemisphere = 308 cm².
