The right circular cone has a curved surface area of 188.5 CM square

step by step  explanation:

We are given the Diameter of the base  of the right circular cone equal to 10 cm and we also know that the height of the cone is 12 CM.

since  diameter is 10 cm radius will be half of diameter = 5 cm

r= 5,h = 12

To find the curved length L we need to apply Pythagoras theorem ,

{hypotenuse^2 = base^2 + height^2}

l^2 = 5^2 + 12^2

⇒ l = √(144+25) ⇒ l = 13 cm

Formula for curved surface area of cone is (sector's arc length/circle's circumference)x area of circle

⇒on putting the values the above formula can be simplified as πrl

(22/7) x 5 x 12 = 188.5 cm^2

The curved surface area of the cone equals 188.5 CM square
