Solution :-

Given that,

  • Height of the cylinder = 3m
  • Circumference of the base = 22cm.

First we need to find out the radius of the cylinder, we can find out te radius by applying the formula of circumference of circle,

Assumption: Let us assume the radius as r,

As we know that,

Circumference of circle = 2πr,

=> 2 × 22/7 × r = 22

=> 44/7 × r = 22

=> r = 22 × 7/44

=> r = 7/2

=> r = 3.5

  • The radius of circle is 3.5cm.

Now, the curved surface area of cylinder,

As we know that,

Curved surface area of cylinder = 2πrh,

=> 2πrh

=> 2 × 22/7 × 3.5 × 3

=> 2 × 22 × 0.5 × 3

=> 44 × 0.5 × 3

=> 22 × 3

=> 66
