Given ;

  • diameter (d) = 77cm
  • thus radius (r) :

 \frac{77}{2} cm

Thus circumference (c) of the circle ;

c = 2 \times \pi \times r \\ 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times \frac{77}{2}  \\ 2 \times 11 \times 11 \\ 2 \times 121 \\   242cm

Given ;

distance covered (D) = 121km

= 121 × 1000 = 121000m

=121000 × 100 = 12100000cm.

Thus for the number of revolutions (R) ;

R =  \frac{D}{c}  \\  =  \frac{12100000}{242}  \\   = \frac{121  \times 100000}{242}  \\  =  \frac{1 \times 100000}{2}  \\  = 50000 \: revolutios

Answer = 50000 revolutions.
