• Length = 10 m, width = 8 m, height = 6 m and combined area of door and windows is 35 m².

• The rate of whitewashing is Rs 100 per square metre.

• So the surface area of four walls is:

         2(lxw) + 2(wxh)

         2(10x8) + 2(8x6)

         2(80) + 2(48)

         160 + 96

         256 metre²

         Area for white washing : actual surface area - combined area of door and windows

         Area for white washing : 256 - 35 = 221 m^2

• So the cost of white washing is:

         221 m^2 x 100

         22100 Rs.
