By Product Rule, we can find y'=secx(1+2tan2x) . Let us look at some details. y=secx tanx. By Product Rule, y'=secxtanx⋅tanx+secx⋅sec2x. by factoring out secx , =secx(tan2x+sec2x). by sec2x=1+tan2x , =secx(1+2tan2x).
