Let y = sin 2x
We know that derivative of sin x is cos x
Let us substitute 2x = u
Then y = sin u and u = 2x
dy/du = cos u and du/dx =2
So we have
dy/dx = dy/du (du/dx) = 2cos u = 2 cos 2x.
