leave the rectangle...

we have to find only diagonal...

which is a hypotenuse of a triangle.

thus,

using Pythagoras theorem,

35²+12²=hypotenuse ²

1225+144=1369

=√1369

=37(answer)

Given:-

  • Length of the rectangle = 35cm.
  • Breadth of the rectangle= 12cm.

To find:-

  • Find the diagonal of rectangle.?

Solutions:-

The length and breadth of a rectangle are 35cm and 12cm.

  • Let the length of the diagonal be d.

The length of the diagonal of rectangle.

=> d² = l² + b²

=> d² = 35² + 12²

=> d² = 1225 + 144

=> d² = 1369

=> d = √1369

=> d = 37cm

Hence, the length of the diagonal of the rectangle is 37cm.

Some Important:-

Property of rectangle.

A rectangle has three properties.

  • All the angle of a rectangle are 90°.
  • Opposite side of a rectangle are equal and parallel.
  • Diagonal of a rectangle bisect each other.

Important formula:-

  • Area of rectangle = length × breadth
  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)
