Answer:

Given,

length = 12 cm

breadth = 5 cm

Diagonal of rectangle =

 \sqrt{ {l}^{2} +  {b}^{2}  }  \\  \sqrt{ {(12 \: cm)}^{2} +  {(5 \: cm)}^{2}  }  \\  \sqrt{144 \:  {cm}^{2} + 25 \:  {cm}^{2}  }  \\  \sqrt{169 \:  \:  {cm}^{2} } \\ 13 \: cm

Therefore, Diagonal of rectangle is 13 cm...

Answer:

(hyp)^2 =(perp)^2 +(base)^2

(hyp)^2=12^2+5^2

(hyp)^2= 144+25

(hyp)^2= 169

hyp= √ 169

hyp = 13
