AC- base

according to Pythagoras theorem ,

hypotenuse ²= altitude ²+base²

so from that we can understand

base²=hypotenuse ²- altitude ²

AC²=AO²-OC²

=5²-3²

=25-9

=16

AC²=16

AC=√16=4

AC=CB

the perpendicular from the centre of the circle to a chord bisects the cord so AC=CB

AB=4+4=8cm

AO is radius so diameter is double AC that is 10cm
