area =πd²/4

616=π*d²/4

d²=616*4/π

d²= 784.7

d = 28.01 cm

As per the data given in the above question.

In the above question, it is given that,

The given data is area is616cm^{2}

We have to find the diameter of a circle.

Thus, the area of a circle is as follow,

\begin{array}{l}a=\pi \times r^{2} \\r^{2}=\frac{a}{\pi} \\r=\sqrt{\frac{a}{\pi}} \\r=\sqrt{\frac{616}{\pi}} \\r=14.0028=14 \mathrm{~cm}\end{array}

The diameter of a circle is,

\begin{array}{l}d=2 r \\=2 \times 14 \\=28 \mathrm{~cm}\end{array}

Hence the diameter is 28cm
