The diameter of a wheel is 6.37 m.

Explanation:

We know that 1 decameter = 10 meters

and 1 kilometer = 1000 meters

Distance traveled by wheel = 2km 26 decameter

= 2 (1000 m) +26 (10 m)

= 2000 m +260 m = 2260 m

Number of revolutions = 113

Circumference of wheel = (Distance traveled by wheel ) ÷(Number of revolutions )

= 2260 ÷ 113 = 20 m

Since Circumference of circle = πd , where d= diameter.

So , d = (Circumference of circle) ÷ π

i.e. Diameter of wheel = (Circumference of wheel )÷ π

= 20 ÷ (3.14) ≈6.37 m

Hence, the diameter of a wheel is 6.37 m.
