HEY

FIRST WE THE RADIUS OF CIRCLE
CIRCUMFERENCE = 2πr
132=2πr
132/2=πr
66=22/7*r
66*7/22=r
3*7=r
r=21

RADIUS OF CIRCLE IS 21cm
∴ THE DIAMETER IS 2*RADIUS= 2*21= 42cm

Given,

The circumference of the circle = 132 cm

To find,

The diameter of circle.

Solution,

The diameter of the circle will be 42 cm.

We can easily solve this problem by following the given steps.

Now, we know that the circumference of the circle is 2πr where r is the radius of the circle.

Circumference of the circle = 2πr

2πr = 132 cm

r = 132/2π ( 2π is in multiplication on the left-hand side. So, it will divide the number on the right-hand side.)

r = 66/π

Putting the value of π to be 22/7,

r = 66×7/22

r = 3×7

r = 21 cm

The diameter of a circle is twice the radius of the circle.

Then,

Diameter = 2r

Diameter = 2×21

Hence, the diameter of the circle is 42 cm.

( More to know: the area of a circle is πr².)
