The diameters for the circles whose circumferences are 35.8 m, 101.7 cm , 125.6 mm and 37.7 m are 11.4 m , 32.37 cm , 39.98 mm and 12 m respectively.

  • The circumference of a circle is given by the formula 2πr which in terms of diameter is expressed as πd.
  • Now we equate the given circumferences with the formula and find the diameter for various circumferences given.

(a) Circumference = 35.8 m

35.8 = πd

d ≈ 11.40 m

  • Similarly for other circumferences too we find out the diameters ,

(b) Circumference = 101.7 cm

101.7 = πd

d = 32.37 cm

(c) Circumference = 125.6 mm

125.6 = πd

d = 39.98 mm

(d) Circumference = 37.7 m

37.7 = πd

d = 12 m
