As a triangle is formed we can use pythagoras theorem

As there is a right angle, the side opposite to it is hypotenuse.

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

4^2 + 3^2 = 16 + 9 = 25

c^2 = 25

c = 5

Therefore, the diameter is 5 cm

name the points on which the cord are meet

A,B,C

and <ABC =90°

in right angle∆ABC
by Pythagoras theorem
AC^2=AB^2+BC^2
AC^2=4^2+3^2
AC^2=16+9
AC^2=25
AC=✓25
AC=5cm
