Hey mate im too in std 8 But actually the sum is- The n=2 because we are doing Compound interest And Compound interest always start with 2 year because its is compound interest and if the question have not mentioned that Find The N that means its 2 years.But in simple interest if the questions have not mentioned that Find The N that means its 1 years.
