Hii friend,

Length of rectangle = 5dm 4cm = 5 × 10 + 4 = 54 cm

and,

Breadth of the rectangle = 3 dm 4 cm = 3 × 10 + 4 = 30+4 = 34 cm [ 1DM = 10 CM]

Area of rectangle = Length× Breadth = 54 × 34 = 1836 cm².

Side of square = 4dm 5 cm = 4 × 10 + 5 = 45 cm

Area of square = (Side)² = (45)² = 2025 cm².

Therefore,

The difference between the area of rectangle and area of square = 2025 - 1836 = 189 cm².

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU..... :-)

area if rectangle = 5.4×3.4 dm²
= 18.36 dm²

area of square = 4.5×4.5 dm²
= 20.25 dm²

diff = 1.89 dm²
= 1.89×10-⁴ m²
