and

the radius of the circle=r=21cm.

i.e the radius of the sector=r=21cm.

To find out−

the difference between ar. major sector and ar. minor sector

Solution−

The ar. minor sector=-θ/ 360  *π*r 2=120 /360*22/7*(21)square (r)square

=462cm2

Again ar. circle= π*22/7=22/7*(21)2=1386cm2

 ∴ar.majorsector=ar.circle−ar.minorsector=((1386−462)cm2

=924cm  2

∴ar.majorsector−ar.minorsector=(924−462)cm  2

=462cm  2
