Hey MATE!!

We first find out the zeroes of the given polynomial.

 =  >  {x}^{2}  - 2x - 8 \\  \\  =  > {x}^{2}   - 4x - 2x - 8 \\  \\  =  > x(x - 4) + 2(x - 4) \\  \\  =  > (x + 2)(x - 4)

Hence the zeroes are => -2 and +4.

The difference between them is :

-2 - 4 => -6 or 4-(-2) = 6

Hope it helps
