Answer: 3

If a number divided by 5 leaves remainder 3, then the digit at unit place can either be 3 or be 8.

So there are only two possibilities according to the divisor 5; 3 and 8.

But, when that number divided by 2 leaves remainder 1, then the digit at unit place shall be an odd number, i.e., either one among 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9.

So there are 5 possibilities according to the divisor 2.

Now we've to find which number is the common among them.

Possible unit digits according to 5

--> 3, 8

Possible unit digits according to 2

--> 1, 3, 5, 7, 9

Among these two, 3 is the common.

So 3 is the answer.

Hope this helped you.
