Units of Van der Waals Equation Constants(a,b) a and b depend on the units in which P and V are expressed. Thus if pressure is expressed in atmospheres and volume in liters, the units of a will be atmosphere litre2 mol-2 or atm dm6 mol-2 or Nm4 mol-2. Units of b.

Hope it helps ✌✌❤

P = Þ Pbx = a – t2 ® [Pbx] = [a] = [T2]

Or [b] = = [M–1T4]

= [MT–2] 5 years ago

[a]=[t2]=T2

[P]=T2/[bx]

[b]=T2/[P][x]=T2/ML-1T-2L=M-1T4

a/b=T2/M-1T4=MT-2

hope it works ✌️
