D = b^2 - 4ac

= 10^2 - 4×2×21

= 100 - 168

= -68

we know that..
ax^2+bx+c=0
a=2,b=10,c=21
D=b^2-4ac
=(10)^2-4×2×21
=100-4×42
=100-168
=-68
therefore,D<0.
