Given:

  • A quadratic equation is given to us.
  • The equation is 2x² - 5x - 3=0.

To Find:

  • The nature of roots and tell whether they are real or not.

Answer:

Given Quadratic equation is 2x² - 5x - 3=0.

The discriminant of quadratic equation in standard form ax²+bx+c = 0 is given by -4ac.

=> D = (-5)² - 4×2×(-3)

=> D = 25 + 24.

=> D = 49.

Since D is positive and square of a number, hence the roots are real and Rational numbers.
