Find the discriminant of the quadratic equation 2x 2 6x + 3 = 0, and hence find the nature of its roots.

Discriminant = D
= b^2-4ac
= (6)^2-(4×2×3)
= 36-24
= 12

As the value of D is greater than zero, then the roots will be real and unequal.
