Find the discriminant of the quadratic equation 2x2 - 4x+ 3=0 and
hence find the nature of its roots.​

Answer:

2x^2 - 4x+3=0,, here a=2, b=-4,c=3

Descriminant=b^2 - 4ac

(-4)^2 - 4(2)(3)

16-24

-8

Roots are not real

2 {x}^{2}  - 4x + 3 = 0

let \:  \: a = 2 \:  \: b =  - 4 \:  \:  \: c = 3

NOW,

D

D =  {b }^{2}  - 4ac

D = ( - 4)^{2} - 4 \times 2 \times 3

D = 16 - 24

D =  - 8

therefore, root of quadratic equation are not real.
