find the discriminant of the quadratic equation 2x²-4x+3=0and hence find the nature of roots? ​

Answer:

2x²-4x+2=0

a=2x²,b=-4x,c=3

∆=b²-4ac

=16-4×2×3

=16-24

=-8

Hence,Nature of roots is real & unequal

discriminant = b^2-4ac
here
a=2 .... b= (-4) ..... c= 3

so
discriminant=(-4)^2-(4)(2)(3)
= 16-24
= (-8)

we know if D is less than 0 so,
roots are real and unequal
