on comparing equation 1 with ax^2+bx+c=0, we get.

a=6, b=-7, c=2

we know that, D=b^2-4ac.

=> (-7)^2 - 4(6)(2)

=> 49-48

=>1 .

Hence, the value of discriminant is 1.
