Hey!!!!
________
We have
=> x² - 3x + 1/2 = 0
We know D = b² - 4ac
=> D = (-3)² - 4(1)(1/2)
=> D = 9 - 2
=> D = 7
Thus D > 0
The roots are real and distinct
___________
Hope this helps ✌️

Hii friend,
X²-3X+1/2 = 0
A = 1 , B = -3 and C = 1/2
Therefore,
D = (b²-4ac)
=> {(-3)² - 4 × 1 × 1/2)}
=> 9 - 4 × 1/2
=> 9 - 2 = 7
HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU.... :-)
