Answer:

the distance at which an object  should be placed is 5 cm front of the mirror

Explanation:

Given: f = +10 cm (Convex lens)

m = +2 (as image is virtual)

m= v/u =2

∴ v=2u

∵ 1/v -1/u =1/f

1/2u - 1/u =1/10

u-2u/2u = 1/10

-1/2u = 1/10

-10 = 2u

u = -5

∴ the object is to be placed 5 cm away in front of the mirror

hope it hepls u friend!!!

Answer:  f = 10 cm ( convex lens )

v = 20 cm ( 10 X 2)

u = ?

By using lens formula ,

1 = 1 --   1

f      v       u

1/10 = 1/20 - 1/u

-1/u = 1/10-1/20

-1/u = 2-1/20

-1/u = 1/20

-u = 20

u = -20cm
