{1-(-4)}^2+(-2-3)^2
=1+4^2+-5^2
=25+25
=50

Using Distance Formula,

Distance =  \sqrt{( x_{2} -  x_{1} )^2 + ( y_{2} -  y_{1})^2  }

Distance =  \sqrt{(-4 - 1)^2 + (3 - (-2))}

                =  \sqrt{(-5)^2 + (3 + 2)^2}   

                =  \sqrt{(-5)^2 + (5)^2}

                =  \sqrt{25 + 25}

                =  \sqrt{50}

Distance = 5√2  units
