Answer:

Hope it helps you!

Step-by-step explanation:

Distance \:  formula={\sf{\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}}} \:

Distance ={\sf{\sqrt{( - 4-( - 4))^2+(0-( - 8))^2}}}

Distance ={\sf{\sqrt{(0)^2+(8)^2}}}

Distance ={\sf{\sqrt{64}}}

Distance  = 8cm

Answer:-

Let A(-4,-8) and B(-4,0)

By using Distance Formula,

AB =  \sqrt{ {(( - 4) - ( - 4))}^{2} + {((0) - ( - 8))}^{2}   }

 =  \sqrt{ {( - 4 + 4)}^{2} +  {(0 + 8)}^{2}  }

 =  \sqrt{ {(0)}^{2}  +  {(8)}^{2} }

 =  \sqrt{0 + 64}

 =  \sqrt{64}

= 8 units

Therefore, the distance between the given points is 8 units.
