Given ,

The two points are (-5,4) and (-1,4)

We know that , the distance between two points is given by

 \boxed{ \tt{Distance =  \sqrt{ {(x_{2} - x_{1})}^{2}  +  {((y_{2} - y_{1}))}^{2} } }}

Thus ,

 \tt \implies Distance =  \sqrt{ {( - 1 + 5)}^{2} +  {(4 - 4)}^{2}  }

 \tt \implies Distance =  \sqrt{ {( 4)}^{2} +  {(0)}^{2}  }

 \tt \implies Distance =   \sqrt{16}

 \tt \implies Distance =  4 \:  \: units

Therefore , the distance between (-5,4) and (-1,4) is 4 units

Section formula -

 \boxed{ \tt{x =  \frac{ mx_{2} +nx_{1}   }{m + n} \: , \:  y =  \frac{ my_{2} +ny_{1}   }{m + n} }}

Mid point formula -

 \boxed{ \tt{x =  \frac{ x_{2} +x_{1}   }{2} \: , \:  y =  \frac{ y_{2} +y_{1}   }{2} }}
