Distance formula :-

AB=√(x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2

x1=a, x2=-a, y1=2b, y2=-2b

AB=√(-a-a)^2+(-2b-2b)^2

AB=√(-2a)^2+(-4b)^2

AB=√4a^2+16b^2

AB=√(4a+16b)^2

know root will be cut by whole square (^2).

AB=4a+16b

AB=2(2a+8b).
