The distance between the points is √(A^2+B^2). Procedure : Distance between two points (a,b) and (c,d) is =√(a-c)^2+(b-d)^2 In this problem , the points are (ACOSQ+BSINQ,0) AND (0,ASINQ-BCOSQ) On substituting, and using trigonometry equality sin^2 x+cos^2 x=1 We get the answer
