Answer- The above question is from the chapter 'Coordinate Geometry'.

Concept used: Distance formula-

 \sqrt{(x_{2} - x_{1})^{2} + (y_{2} -y_{1})^{2}}

Given question: Find the distance between of following pairs of points- A(2, 3) and B(-2, 2).

Solution: Given coordinates are-  A(2, 3) and B(-2, 2)

Let x₁ = 2

y₁ = 3

x₂ = - 2

y₂ = 2

Using distance formula, we get,

AB =  \sqrt{(x_{2} - x_{1})^{2} + (y_{2} -y_{1})^{2}}

AB =  \sqrt{(- 2 - 2)^{2} + (2 - 3)^{2}}

AB =  \sqrt{(- 4)^{2} + (- 1)^{2}}

AB =  \sqrt{16 + 1}

AB =  \sqrt{17}

∴ AB =  \sqrt{17} units.
