By distance formula:

 \sqrt{(x2 - x1) {}^{2}   + (y2 - y1) {}^{2} }

Here x1=0, y1=0

x2= -5, y2=12

Now substitute the values in the formula:-

 \sqrt{( - 5 - 0) { }^{2}  + (12 - 0) { }^{2} }

 \sqrt{25 + 144}

 \sqrt{169}

= 13

Therefore the distance between the two points is 13 units.
