X1 = a

X2 = -a

Y1 = 6

Y2 = -6

distance =  \sqrt{ {x2 - x1}^{2}  +  {y2 - y1}^{2} }

 =  \sqrt{ { - a - a}^{2}  +  { - 6 - 6}^{2} }

 =  \sqrt{ {2a}^{2}  +  {2(6)}^{2} }

 =  \sqrt{2a  + 2(6)}
