 Let \: L(4,1) = ( x_{1},y_{1}) \: and \:

 M(1,3) = ( x_{2},y_{2})

/* By Distance Formula */

 LM = \sqrt{ (x_{2} - x_{1})^{2} + (</p><p>y_{2} - </p><p>y_{1})^{2} }

 = \sqrt{ ( 1-4)^{2} + ( 3-1)^{2} }

 = \sqrt{ (-3)^{2} + 2^{2} }

 = \sqrt{ 9 + 4 }

 = \sqrt{13}

Therefore.,

 \red{ Distance \: between \: the\:points \:L\:and \: M }

 \green { = \sqrt{13}}
