let,

x1 = 3, y1 = 1

x2 = 6, y2 = 4

Therefore,

By distance formula,

 \sqrt{({x2 - x1 } )^{2}  + ({y2 - y1)^{2} }}   \\  =  \sqrt{ {(6 - 3)}^{2}   +  {(4 - 1)}^{2} }   \\  =  \sqrt{ {3}^{2} +  {3}^{2}  }   \\  =  \sqrt{9 + 9 }  \\  =  \sqrt{18}  \\    =  \sqrt{9 \times 2 }  \\  = 3 \sqrt{2}

Therefore, distance between the point (3,1) and (6,4) is 3sqrt{2} units
