x1= x+y x2= x -y
y1=x -y y2= -x-y

AB=√(x2-x1)2+(y2-y1)2
= √ ( x -y -(x+y)2+( -x-y-(x -y)2
= √( x-y-x-y)2+ (-x-y-x+y)2
=√ (-2y)2+ (-2x)2
=√ 4y2+ 4x2
=√ 4(x2+y2)
=2(x+y)
