Given:

A(2,3)

B(4,1)

To find:

AB

Basic Approach:

using distance formula and getting the distance

solution:

Let,

x1 = 2 , y1 =3

x2 = 3 , y2 = 1

Now , by using distance formula, we get:-

AB

 =  >  \sqrt{(x2 - x1)^{2}  + (y1 - y2) ^{2} }

 =  >  \sqrt{(3 - 2)^{2}  + (3 - 1) ^{2} }

 =  >  \sqrt{1  + 4}

 =  >  \sqrt{5}

5 units is the distance between A and B

Step-by-step explanation:

(2,3)  (4,1)

here , \:   \: x1 = 2       \:   ,  \:      y1 = 3

 x2 = 4    \:  \:   ,  \:   y2 = 1

By  \: Distance \:  formula , \:  we \:  get :

√(x2 - x1)² + (y2 - y1)²

= √(4-2)² + (1-3)²

= √ (2)² + (-2)²

= √4+4 = √8

= 2√2
