Question (i):

Given:

x = 3

x = 1

y = -2

y = 5

To Find:

Distance between the points (3, -2); (1, 5).

SOLUTION:

We know that,

 \bold \green{distance \: between \: two \: points =  \sqrt{( {x2 - x1)}^{2} + ( {y2 - y1)}^{2} }}

 \bold{  \implies\sqrt{( {1 - 3)}^{2}  + ( {5 - ( - 2))}^{2} }  }\\  \bold{  \implies\sqrt{( { - 2)}^{2}  +  ({7)}^{2} } }  \\  \bold{ \implies  \sqrt{ - 4 + 14} }  \\  \bold{ \implies  \sqrt{10} } \\  \bold{ \implies 3.1}
