Find the distance between the points (–7, 2) and (5, 2) on the coordinate grid.

Distance = ✔️(x1-x2)^2 + (y1-y2)^2 = ✔️(-7-5)^2 +(2-2)^2=✔️(-12)^2 =✔️144=12 cm

The distance formula is :-
 \sqrt{( x_{1}- x_{2}) ^{2} +( y_{1} - y_{2} ) ^{2}  }
In your question :-
x1 = -7
x2 = 5
y1 = 2
y2 = 2
By solving, we get the distance as 12 units.
