Step-by-step explanation:

distance = root of (X2-X1)^2 + (Y2-Y1)^×

root of (15-9)^2 +(11 -3)^2

root of 6^2 + 8^2

root of 36 + 64

root of 100

Given:

• Points are :

a (9,3) and b(15,11)

To find :

• Distance between a and b .

Solution:

As we know that ,

Distance formula :

 \star \boxed{ \bold{ d \:  =  \sqrt{( {x_2 - x_1)}^{2} + ( {y_2 - y_1)}^{2}  }} }  \\

• Here :

x1= 9 ,y1= 3

x2= 15 , y2= 11

 \implies \: d =   \sqrt{ {(15 - 9)}^{2}   +  {(11 - 3)}^{2} }   \\  \\  \implies \: d =  \sqrt{ {6}^{2}  +  {8}^{2}  }  \\  \\  \implies \: d =  \sqrt{100}  \\  \\  \implies \: d = 10

Hence , the distance is 10
