Given : points P(2,-3 ) and Q(-1,   5)

To Find : distance between points

Solution:

Distance between point A ( x₁ , y₁   ) and B ( x₂ , y₂  )  is given by :

= √(x₂ - x₁)² + (y₂-y₁)²

P(2, -3, ) and Q(-1,   5)

x₁  = 2 , y₁  = -3

x₂ = -1 , y₂ = 5

Distance between points P and Q

= √(-1 - 2)² + (5-(-3))²

= √(-3)² +   (-8)²

= √(9 + 64)

= √73

distance between points P(2, -3).Q(-1,5)  is √73  unit
