Heya!!!
Let the coordinates of origin be A(0,0)
The coordinate of point P ( 3,4)
x1 = 0
x2= 3
y1= 0
y2 = 4
By distance formula,
Distance AP = root ( x2 - x1 ) ^2 + ( y2 - y1 ) ^2
= root ( 3-0 ) ^2 + ( 4-0) ^2
= root (3)^2 + (4)^2
= root 9 + 16
= root 25
= 5
Hence , the distance between origin and the point P is 5.
Hope it helps u.
